MAYU IN USA - ELKI

The Elqui Valley is a small  coastal desert and Chile’s northernmost wine producing area.  In Quechua,  the language of the Inca Empire, Elqui or `Elki´ means narrow valley. Known for the clearest skies in the world, the region has long been endowed with an energy that comes from its exceptional natural conditions. With average day/night temperature fluctuations of  30/35ºF, grapes achieve optimal ripeness while retaining a freshness that comes from our proximity to the Pacific Ocean.

PEDRO XIMENEZ

Tasting notes Pedro Ximenez
Fresh mineral – driven lemon and peach pit aromas are focused and vaguely salty. Brisk and tight, with racy citrus flavours and good cut.

SAUVIGNON BLANC

Elqui Valley  Sauvignon Blanc:
Light yellow, sharply focused lime and grapefruit on the nose, along with notes of white pepper and anise.

SYRAH

Elqui Valley Syrah
Deep ruby. Fresh red berry and cherry aromas are complicated by dried flowers and smoky minerals. The peppery note repeats on the finish, which is nicely focused and long.
